Hong Kong Style Wonton Soup

Wonton soup always warm my heart! So comforting, so so good!

Making wonton soup brings back so many memories of my childhood. I remember watching my parents wrap wontons by the hundreds in the Chinese restaurant where they worked when I was in elementary school. I was never taught how to wrap them, but I guess watching my parents long enough, I sort of picked it up by osmosis. Wontons don’t have many ingredients in them so I like to use good quality ingredients like fresh prawns, leaner ground pork and high quality wonton wrappers. It does take some effort but the payoff is great, and I since I like to make a lot, I freeze them for a quick easy weeknight dinner.
