Rib Eye in Browned Butter and a Balsamic Glaze

Rib eye is my favorite cut and this is my favorite way to make a mouthwatering steak.

I first created this dish for a formal tasting dinner party. Every time I have a multi course tasting dinner my guests would be almost full by the time they have the entree. So, what I wanted to make a beef dish that wasn’t just rich but also has some sweetness and tartness to balance out the overall profile of the dish. That’s how I came up with this idea of a rib eye seared on the stove top with European browned butter, finished off with a tangy balsamic glaze. It was an instant hit and since then my friends and family have requested me to make a full size entree. I mean…..rib eye, browned butter, and balsamic glaze….what’s not to love?
